CUSTOMER
REFERRAL PROGRAM QUESTIONS (Click a
question to get the answer)
- What is the
Grazier System Customer Referral Program?
- It is the method which we have
selected to market the Grazier System for the immediate future.
Also commonly known as an "Affiliate Program," this program is at
this time the exclusive method by which we are soliciting
marketing of the Grazier System. Traditional dealers who find us
and inquire are also welcome to buy and sell the Grazier, but we
are not actively soliciting such dealerships at this time.
The Grazier System has somewhat of a "too-good-to-be-true"
syndrome, and we think our customers can show it off in real-life
use better than a dealer can off a shelf. We want to give our
Grazier users an opportunity to show us what they can do selling
it, and to let them enjoy some of the rewards of an exciting early
program.
- Is your Customer
Referral Program a multi-level marketing plan?
- No. It is a two-level customer
referral program. Each Affiliate is considered their own and only
"First Level." Those who join our Referral program because of them
are then considered that Affiliate's Second Level. We pay no
signing bonuses. We pay commissions for referrals only. Our
Affiliates do not buy and resell our products, they merely refer
and get rewarded when we make a sale from that referral.
- Do I have to have
a web site to be an Affiliate?
- No. We have designed our program
to work either with or without using the Internet. After all, when
you're out on the trail there won't be many computers around, will
there. And we find many on the trail either don't have computers,
or at least won't admit out there that they do. We want the
opportunity to extend to all Grazier users, not just those that
are web savvy.
- Can I link my web
site or other web sites to the Grazier System web site with my
Affiliate ID?
- Yes. Like any web affiliate
sales program, our program is supported by banner links. We have
several banners you can choose from in the Affiliate Section of
our site. These are designed for placing into your own site, and
will work silently and automatically for you. If anyone finds us
on your site and clicks through to us from your site and then buys
from us, you'll get a commission check in the mail.
- When do I become
eligible to earn commissions?
- All Grazier System owners which
predate the launch of this program are automatically grandfathered
and qualified, regardless of amount paid for their System.
Following the launch of this site, you must either buy or sell one
Grazier kit (any kit) at retail with no commission before being
eligible to receive commissions. If you intend to buy a kit, you
may buy it either from Canter, LC, or from any other Affiliate. We
would prefer you reward your friend who showed you, and buy it
from an Affiliate. After all, that would generate some excitement
and lead to more effort by them, don't you think? If you do not
intend to own a Grazier but wish only to sell it as an Affiliate,
then simply sign up and start selling. You won't get a commission
on the first kit, but from then on you're fully qualified.
- How much can I
earn by referring the Grazier System to others?
- We do not encourage anyone to
think they will get rich with this program, although there
certainly is significant available opportunity with such a unique
product. For each sale on your First Level you will receive 15% of
the sale. For each sale on your Second Level you will receive 10%
of the sale. The most common commission is a little over $100, but
some commissions on larger system sales can amount to several
hundred dollars.
We made it a two-level program for one reason: The best thing you
could do for you and for me is to go find that one good
friend--maybe a horse competitor or a trailer dealer--who has tons
of connections and will probably sell a bunch. You might be
pleasantly surprised at what could happen on your Second Level.
- Can I become an
affiliate to purchase a Grazier System from myself?
- Great question. Absolutely, Yes!
One of my primary reasons for going with this style of marketing
is to help those people who would benefit from having many, many
Graziers on their farm to be able to get them at a lower price. My
term for this is "Agricultural Discounts."
Your first kit has to be at retail, so buy it through a friend.
Then sign up as an Affiliate, and from then on sell the fences to
yourself and receive back your 15% commission. The System really
comes alive when you have several units available.
- Is the horse
industry the only place, or the primary place, to sell the Grazier?
- By no means, No! This same
system is also marketed under the name "The Barrier System" for
people-control applications. Think of golf tournaments and all the
roping that goes around every fairway and green, or the golf pro
who needs to repair a green for a few weeks. Or the football coach
who needs to keep people off certain grass. Fairs and shows of all
kinds which need "people fences." Auctioneers who need to keep
people out of a front yard at a farm sale. Rental markets.
National parks and forests where certain trails are blocked on an
as-needed basis. Construction sites. Police and fire...the horse
trailer accident on an Interstate. Anywhere fast, temporary
fencing is required, there is a potential sale for the Grazier.
- When do I get paid
on my referral sales?
- Checks are cut on the 10th of
each month for all sales dated within the previous month. If the
10th falls on a weekend, we will have them cut not later than the
subsequent Tuesday.
- What if someone
who buys a Grazier System under me returns it? Are my commissions
affected?
- We don't come after the money,
but we do review each return, and charge it against future
commissions.
- How can I sign up
to become an Affiliate?
- There are three ways: On-line,
by fax, or by phone. No money or purchase required. Details are
available on [the Affiliate site.]
- How can I promote
the Grazier System to others using my Affiliate ID?
- Simple. It's a 5-digit number.
Put it on a business card, a flier, write it on a piece of paper
or e-mail it to a friend. If at any time in the future, even
months later, that friend uses your number to open our site and
then buys, you'll get a commission check in the mail. Complete
details will be given you when you sign up.
- What is your
policy regarding unwanted e-mail, or "spam?"
- It doesn't happen without
someone having their Affiliate relationship terminated. Absolutely
forbidden. If you send e-mails promoting the Grazier, it better be
someone you know, someone you have a business relationship with,
or someone who has opted IN to an active marketing program of your
own. All reports of suspected spamming will be investigated.
COMPANY QUESTIONS
(Click a

- Why two names:
Canter, LC, and The Grazier System? And where did "Canter" come
from?
- Canter, L.C., is the name of our
business. "The Grazier System" is one of our products.
We chose the name "Grazier System" for selling to the horse and
agricultural industries, and because it was first designed as a
rotational-grazing fence. "Canter" means nothing, really. We chose
it because we wanted a name that attracted the eye of a horse
owner (a gait of a horse), but which meant nothing to the football
coach or the golf pro wanting to use it to keep people off the
grass. We also market the system under the name "The Barrier
System" for people-control applications, in slightly different
configurations.
- Who is behind the
Grazier System?
- Two Kansas farmers: Bryan
Pulliam, inventor, and Ken King, Bryan's grazing mentor and now
partner. No big company, just two guys and a great idea. Bryan and
his wife Annette specializes in and teaches Intensive Rotational
Grazing for horses, and also own and operate a large mailing firm.
Ken has an impressive knowledge and background in grass based
dairy production, and he and his wife Judy operate a family farm
producing healthy all-natural dairy products, and a small
manufacturing company that produces the Grazier System and other
products.
- Databases can be
abused. What is your privacy policy?
- The Grazier inventor Bryan
Pulliam's "other company" is a mailing firm--a
professional private mailer--and an expert protector of others'
privacy. Bryan's "Grazier" company Canter, LC, likewise does not sell,
lend, lease or rent or reveal any of its lists or Referral
Program information. Canter, LC, also will not itself process
for a fee or otherwise use any such information for the benefit
of others.
